Alliance Rubber Adds New Product to Walmart Shelves

Alliance Rubber Adds New Product to Walmart Shelves

Rubber band manufacturer will supply tie-dye bands at retailers throughout U.S.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (April 30, 2015)— Although it is often associated with hippies and counter-culture, tie-dye is also among the biggest trends of fashion’s resort 2015 season – meaning that consumers will continue to find it everywhere this spring. And now, fashionistas can create tie-dye styles at home for a fraction of the cost with Alliance Rubber tie-dye bands hitting Walmart stores this spring.

The bands will be in participating Walmart stores across the country in April, in assorted bags of blue, green, purple and pink bands. From T-shirts and scarves to dresses, socks and shoes – if you can wrap bands around it, you can tie-dye it.

As part of Walmart’s commitment to invest in products that support American jobs, Alliance Rubber will manufacture the tie-dye bands at its plant in Hot Springs, Ark.

“Promoting American manufacturing has long been one of Alliance Rubber’s missions,” says strategic marketing manager Jason Risner.“We are proud to support Walmart’s commitment to American manufacturing and American jobs.”

Alliance has previously supplied its Standard Advantage Rubber Bands to the retailer.

Alliance was among the 500 U.S.-based suppliers invited to pitch their products at Walmart’s first Open Call event in July 2014. The rubber band manufacturer was also part of the 2014 U.S. Manufacturing Summit in August with government leaders, suppliers and Walmart executives.

Alliance Rubber, a leading global supplier of rubber bands, office and packaging supplies, has been making rubber bands since 1923. The current CEO, Bonnie Swayze, is a second-generation family owner, overseeing 2,200 skus of products sold through dealers in 55 countries. Named a top American manufacturer by Made in the USA Foundation and Made Movement, Alliance Rubber’s “Make It In America Pledge” encourages individuals to make an effort to spend more on American-made products. By spending just $1 a day on American-made items it is possible to create one million new American jobs.

American Profile and Spirit magazines have recognized Alliance as a top U.S. manufacturer. ABC World News recently featured its Eraselet product, and the company received the 2013 Governor’s Award for Excellence in Global Trade. In 2013 Alliance was also one of two recipients of Top American Manufacturer honors in the Office Supplies category by Made in the USA Foundation and Made Movement.
