Pick Up Rubber Bands On Black Friday

Friday, October 12, 2012

Black Friday is six weeks away. A retailer’s dream-it either launches or wraps up your holiday season, depending on your approach to gift buying. 200371700-001 Time Magazine published an article about Black Friday this afternoon highlighting the way we used the event to begin our count down to Christmas. Now, we’re counting down the days until Black Friday. (With that in mind, there are 42 days until the “big day.”)

Along with the shopping, there’s the decorating. Whether you have a pre-lighted tree or opt for the real McCoy, you’ll probably end up with some kind of Christmas decorations on that shopping list as you venture into the shopping outlets.

With that in mind, this blog is dedicated to Laurie who wrote in this week that she uses rubber bands as ornament holders instead of silver hooks.

She says that she likes to use markers on her rubber bands to make them colorful. That way, they will not be visible when looking at the tree.

Rubber bands as ornament holders…

It is a great way to save money. Be sure to include bands on the shopping list and be sure to keep plenty in stock. That way, you’ll have a handful ready for those cool holiday projects.

Tell us how you use rubber bands during the holiday season. We’d like to thank Alexa, the winner of our latest blog post. She receives a prize pack and t-shirt.
