Few emotions can compete with the intense fear and anxiety parents feel when their child goes missing. This can occur in a variety of circumstances, but a common scenario is getting separated in a public place like Disney World.
We heard from one mother who has a process in place in case a child gets lost. Whenever she travels as a family out of state, she places wristbands on all of the kids that say: “If I am lost, please call 501-xxx-xxxx.”
Simply include the best phone number where you can be reached in case of an emergency. The image below illustrates how you can create this tool with a wristband and a sharpie.
Let your child know to find a police officer and show them his/her wristband.
