Straining Doesn’t Have to be Such a Strain

Cooks around the world know the kitchen can pose its share of challenges, even if you don’t have Gordon Ramsay yelling at you.

Many dishes involve the use of a strainer. Transferring items from a bowl to a strainer back to a bowl can be a hassle.

Take the strain out of straining with a cloth and a rubber band.

If you are working with a small amount of food that needs to be strained, just put it in a jar, cover it with a breathable cloth and wrap a rubber band around it.
