Last summer, we offered the chance to win a paid vacation to anywhere in the United States to those who took a pledge to spend $1 a day on American-made products.
Our winner, Anthony Pastor, enjoyed his vacation trip this spring.
Anthony took his family to Fort Moultrie, a major historic site from the American Revolution located on Sullivan’s Island in South Carolina.
Fort Moultrie is named after General William Moultrie, who defended the fort from British attacks in 1776.
Today, it is the only unit in the National Park system where the U.S. military's entire 190-year history of coastal defense efforts can be explored. To learn more about Fort Moultrie, click here.
Anthony said his favorite part was being able to enjoy the warm weather and walk the grounds of the base while his kids (as you can see) enjoyed the cannons.
It doesn’t get more American than that! We appreciate Anthony for sharing these pictures and supporting American manufacturing.
