Using Exercise Bands To Achieve Fitness Goals

Leg Press: Sitting on the floor, place the band around one foot. Grab the ends with both hands and pull your knee towards your chest. Next, push your leg down to straighten at the knee. Repeat for 20-25 reps for a powerful leg and core workout.

 

Double Bicep Curl: Standing up, secure the band under your right foot. Grab the ends of the band with both hands and, keeping your elbows to your sides, curl your arms smoothly toward your shoulders. Release slowly and repeat for 20-25 reps.

Shoulder Press: Standing up, grip the middle of the band. Hold across your chest, around shoulder height on the opposite side, and take the band in your other hand, making a tight fist. With your elbow at a 90 degree angle and wrist straight toward the ceiling, slowly press up and lower your arm. Keep your shoulders down and ensure your arm goes straight up without arc. Repeat for 15-18 reps on each side.

 

Chest Fly: Standing up, take the band around your back underneath each armpit, making a fist with each end in your hands. Bring your arms forward as if you’re giving someone a hug, keeping your elbows at a fixed bend. As you bring your arms back, stop when your elbows are in line with the sides of your shoulders. Repeat for 15-20 reps for a complete upper body workout.
