Alliance Rubber Company Recognized For its Support to the Visually Impaired
HOT SPRINGS, AR., June 24, 2011 –Alliance Rubber Company was invited by the Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired to attend a ceremony held by the National Association for the Employment of People who are Blind (NAEPB). Alliance was recognized with the 2011 Supplier Appreciation Award.
The award highlights Alliance for their support in providing 100% American-made high quality rubber bands that allow Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired and its employees to fulfill the organization’s mission of helping the blind and visually impaired achieve economic independence.
Working through a network of almost 90 partner agencies across the US, the NAEPB provide employment to more than 5,600 people and rehabilitative services to more than 130,000. Their partnership with Alliance has allowed them to create meaningful employment opportunities for people who are blind, who package and distribute the products to Federal Government customers under the SKILCRAFT® brand.
