Three Winners Received $500 by Participating in Alliance Rubber Company’s “Stretch the Limits of Alliance Rubber Bands” Contest.
HOT SPRINGS, AR., December 19, 2012, Alliance Rubber Company, a leading global supplier of rubber bands, office and packaging supplies, recently announced the three grand prize winners of its “Stretch the Limits of Alliance Rubber Bands” contest, an initiative focusing on the wide and sometimes wild uses of America’s favorite rubber band.
Tim Lintz of Washington, April Espinoza of Utah, and Alicia Velasquez of Washington will receive a $500 cash prize for their participation in the contest. Pictures of the winning submissions can be found on Alliance Rubber Company’s Facebook photo album.
“Wow, thanks for selecting me,” said Tim Lintz. “This will certainly help offset the cost of Christmas.”
The “Stretch the Limits of Alliance Rubber Bands” campaign resulted in numerous submissions, likes, comments and blog posts. “Whether you are the President of the United States, a NASA astronaut or a mother on mission to organize, the answer to how you use your Alliance Rubber Bands is as different as the band’s users themselves. We looked at the various uses for Alliance Rubber Bands, listened to our customers and believe we have developed a program that hits at the heart of Alliance’s appeal as the iconic U.S. manufacturer of rubber bands,” said Bonnie Swayze, presided of Alliance Rubber Company.
The company used the contest as a way to introduce readers to its new blog, “Bandology,” now highlighting a library of inventive and fun uses for rubber bands, while interconnecting with the company’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.
“Rubber bands can be utilized in so many creative ways,” Jason Risner, Strategic Marketing Manager for Alliance Rubber Company said. “The blog provided participants a platform to share their fun and interactive rubber band ideas. From a marketing perspective, the campaign was a win-win for us and participants.”
