Rubber Bands Can Serve as Teaching Aids for Gripping a Pencil

There are many elements that factor into teaching a child. They are taught how to spell, add, subtract, draw and color among other countless tasks. All of these skills require the grip of a pencil, which is a common obstacle for many children.

Luckily with the use of a rubber band, this hurdle does not have to delay the learning process of these skills.

To start, simply wrap the rubber band around the pencil. From there twist the rubber band and form a hole.

Next place the child’s writing hand through that hole to where the rubber band is wrapped around her wrist and the pencil.

Voila! Your child can adjust to gripping a pencil – a key task for future learning!
