Kansas City Man Targets Rubber Band Gun Business

Tuesday, July 29, 2014

Dr. Norman Vincent Peale once stated: “Shoot for the moon. Even if you’ll miss, you’ll land among the stars.”

Four years ago, all Bob Coulston was shooting for was making “the awesomest rubber band gun in the world” in the eyes of his six-year-old son, Bobby. Since then Coulston has launched a business called Bandit Guns, which has sold more than 10,000 rubber band shotguns in 36 countries since opening in 2012.

The Kansas City Star recently published an article about the story of Bandit Guns.

According to Coulston, Bobby still plays a critical role for the company in the research and development department. His criterion on whether a new model hits the product line is simple: If Bobby doesn’t like it, Coulston doesn’t sell it.
