One Ohio family recently gathered in Hot Springs Village for a reunion with 50 of their closest relatives. Their cousin Larry had a brilliant idea to set up a table, a flower pot and a watermelon. One by one, with the watermelon sticking out of the flower pot, each relative began stretching rubber bands over the watermelon.
Soon, onlookers in the park who weren’t related to the family began gathering to watch as 410 rubber bands were eventually stretched around the watermelon. Then, before they knew it, the top half of the watermelon and rubber bands went flying and hit the ground with a bounce. The rubber bands formed into a giant ball and stayed intact. What a fun way to end a family reunion!
